Wiersma takes checkers on Engine Pro Super Stock Night Bisacky & Regnerus also win

Marne, MI--  It was a caution-filled night at Berlin Raceway and emerging victorious were Brian Wiersma (Engine Pro Super Stock), Caleb Bisacky (Coors Light Late Model) and Justin Regnerus (Kerksta Services Pro Stock.

The Kerkstra Services Pro Stocks kicked things off with #76 Ryan Gruppen and #7 Kevin DeGood leading the field to the green flag.  Caution was out just as the first lap was completed for the spinning car of #33 Jerry Groeneveld.  On the restart, Gruppen, DeGood and #97.9 Ryan Schnabel went three-wide with DeGood prevailing and Gruppen and Schnable shuffled to the back.  Just three laps later, caution, and then the red flag, was displayed for an incident coming off turn 4.  The #88 of Tom Stricklen and #78 William Olmstead had hit the wall.  After cleanup was complete, the race was restarted and #36 Ken Smith, Jr. was challenging DeGood for the lead.  Enter #50 Justin Regnerus.  Regnerus, who was the fast qualifier and also fast in practice took second from Smith and then went after DeGood; not far behind was the #76 of Brian Tillema.  Caution came again on lap 10, Groeneveld spun again, this time in turn 4, the #81 of Marc Coleman was also involved.   Before the cars made it another lap, there was a pile-up in turn 3 involving the cars of #33 Allen Davis, #8 Sadie Klein, Schnabel and #26 Brian Thome.  The second red flag of the night was displayed to allow for clean-up.  The race was restarted and shortened to 15 laps and there was a three-way battle for the lead between DeGood, Regnerus and Tillema.  With 2 to go, Regnerus took the lead and held on for the win.  The rest of the top ten were Tillema, DeGood, Gruppen, #20 Dave Hull, #48 Brandon Wright, #40 Dave Cutler, Smith, #88 Tony Davis and #89 Krik Meissner.

The Coors Light Late Models were the next feature to roll; #222 Caleb Bisacky and #55 Chris Anthony were on the front row.   This 60-lap feature was laden with cautions, starting on lap 1; the #21 of Terry VanHaitsma spun in turn 4.   Once restarted, #32 Ross Meeuwsen broke free from the pack in pursuit of leader Bisacky.  Caution 2 came on lap 11 for the #12 of Tim DeVos and coming to the restart, #7 Justin Claucherty spun.  Bisacky was looking to pick up where he left off last week before he had problems with his car.  The next three cautions came within between laps 15 and 21 involving the cars of #55 Chris Anthony, #1 Barry Hartwell, #15 Brian Maxim and #27 Billy Shotko.  Once the cars got back to green flag racing, Bisacky was stretching out his lead over Meeuwsen.  By lap 40, the cars were mostly single firle and on lap 41, the leaders had caught the tail end of the field.  Bisacky was using the slower cars to hold off Meeuwsen.  With 2 laps to go, Meeuwsen made it to Bisacky’s rear fender, but Meeuwsen bobbled on the last lap and Bisacky took the win.  Meeuwsen, #82 Tom Thomas, #19 Nick Shotko, #101 Joe Bush, DeVos, #61 Alec Carll, VanHaitsma, #71 John Vandoorn and Maxim.

The Engine Pro Super Stocks were the last cars to take the track, #66 Nate Walton started on the pole with #76 Warren Speet to his outside.  When the flag dropped, Walton was shuffled back to third.  On lap 4, #8 Billy Eppink was off of the pace and one lap later #12 Josh Slade was also off of the pace.  #1 Brian Wiersma was making his way through the field, but contact with #51 Justin Ryan sent them both and #55 Dave Lake off of the backstretch.  Lap 17 saw leader Speet off of the pace which passed the lead to #98 Bob Bliss.  Just five laps later, caution was out again for in incident involving #26 Chris Muyskens and #44 Brian VanZalen.  Once the cars got restarted, they continued under green flag conditions with #5 Ray VanAllsburg leading.  Wiersma was still working his way to the front while Bliss was gaining on VanAllsburg with 10 to go.  Their battle for the lead let Wiersma catch up and the trio went three-wide and Bliss backed off; Wiersma and VanAllsburg were still side-by-side until VanAllsburg got loose and Wiersma was able to drive away with the win.  Van Allsburg , Bliss, Walton, #77 Andrew Nylaan, #13 Mat McClarren, Muyskens, #5 Cal Castle, #10 Bob Spencer and VanZalen.
