Shots Grill, Pizzeria and Pub to once again host Raceway Roundup;
Pre-season Registration Party to take place March 9

Jenison, MI- The 2010 NASCAR season is upon us, with the Great American Race this week in Daytona Beach, which signifies the short time that remains before cars will be on the famed Marne oval in April. Featuring a brand new Modified division being added to the already stout field of cars that compete on a weekly basis, the 2010 season is going to be huge.

A part of the 60-year tradition that Berlin Raceway has enjoyed is the annual appearances at Shots Grill, Pizzeria and Pub. The Standale hot spot is known for their excellent food and drink specials and a gathering place for drivers and fans alike.

This year’s format has once again been changed from the request of many of the shows longtime supporters. The event will take on a closer feel to its bi-weekly setup and stepping away from the radio broadcasts for a season. The event will take place every other week, for 13 Tuesday dates throughout the race schedule beginning on March 30 at 6:00 p.m.

Listeners will be able to listen live to the activities and interviews at Shots by going to the Berlin Raceway Web site, from 6-7:00 p.m.

Returning to the docket will once again be the team favorite Tire Giveaway, this year presented by Shots. Also making its return is the pizza giveaway, as well as a t-shirt and ticket giveaways.

“We are happy to be returning to Shots again this season,” said Michael Blackmer, President of Berlin Raceway. “With this new format that we put in place, I feel the following of the show is going to be stronger and continue to grow.”

All of the 2010 season competitors are urged to come to the Shots Pre-season Registration Party, which will take place on Tuesday night, March 9. This is where drivers can submit their registration forms, sign up and renew their pit stalls, and catch up on all the winter happenings. Shots will also be giving away a set of tires on this night and Berlin will give away opening night admission tickets to select lucky guests!
