Berlin Raceway announces 2009 ticket prices
Jenison, MI- Berlin Raceway is excited to announce a new pricing schedule for the 2009 racing season. In addition to cutting the prices on season tickets and the weekly race ticket, a season pit pass will also be available to the general public and the race teams.
The 2009 season begins Saturday, April 18, with races every Saturday night through September 26. The local divisions of stock cars will race most nights, with special events and traveling series such as the ARCA RE/MAX Series, ASA Late Model North division, the CRA Super Series, the Auto Value Super Sprints, The Wolverine Outlaw Midgets and two appearances by the ISMA SuperModifieds. In light of the struggling economy, the price for a race ticket to a regular show has been lowered to $12, down $1.00 from last season. Kids 6 to 12 are $5.00 while those 5 and under are always free. For special events, such as The Chet, ticket prices have been lowered by $2.00.
A season pit pass will be available for race teams based on the number of races they are scheduled for. If they purchase by February 1, 2009, the cost will be $325 for Late Model and 4-Cylinder and $350 for Super Stock and Pro Stock. The price will go up by $25 if purchased after February 1. The public will also be able to purchase a season pit pass for $600, which includes 26 races.
“We’re very excited about lowering the ticket prices,” owner Mike Blackmer said. “We want to be responsive to the economic challenges facing our fans and racers, so we decided to make the race experience more affordable.”
Tickets may be purchased by calling the Berlin Raceway Office at 616.662.2051 or in person at the Berlin Raceway Office in Jenison from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Season ticket packages will go on sale Monday, December 8 and will only cost $297 for 27 race dates! In addition to season tickets and individual race tickets, groups of 10 or more may begin reserving discounted blocks of tickets on Monday, December 8 by calling the Berlin Raceway Office at 616.662.2051.
