Keyser’s Port City Racing and Berlin Raceway team up in 2012
2/13/2012 - Marne, MI – Berlin Raceway is pleased to announce that Keyser’s Port City Racing has signed on to be a major marketing partner in 2012.
“It is great to have Scott and Keyser’s Port City Racing back on board for our inaugural year”, stated Mike Bursley, General Manager of Berlin Raceway. “Scott and his staff have been a very important part of Berlin Raceway over the years and we certainly look forward to working with them all season and especially on the World of Outlaws late model race in September. That is going to be a huge event for all of us”
Keyser’s Port City Racing is a natural fit with Berlin Raceway. Their slogan is “Michigan Strong, Michigan Made” and they continue to put their support behind the local drivers, teams, sanctioning organizations, tracks and events in the hope that it will help to better the state’s economy. With that in mind, Keyser’s will be the sponsor of the make-ready chute in 2012. Keyser’s has also stepped up to be the title sponsor of the September 21-22 race weekend in which Berlin Raceway will be covered in dirt to host the World of Outlaw Late Model Series.
“Coming on board with Berlin for the dirt race was an easy decision. This event will be talked about throughout the racing community, across the country, and maybe even the world. Berlin is known for their great short track pavement racing, and adding dirt to the surface will only make it better. Getting to see those 800+ horsepower World of Outlaw Late Models hit the track, running three and four wide around Berlin will be epic,” said Scott Keyser, owner of Keyser’s Port City Racing. “We feel that Berlin is one of the nicest facilities around for short track racing fans to go to enjoy a racing event.”
