Budweiser takes over title sponsorship role in Super Late Model Division

Marne, MI -- Berlin Raceway and Budweiser are excited to announce a new partnership as the title sponsor of the Super Late Model division.

The Budweiser Super Late Models debuted in 2011and has quickly grown in to one of the most prestigious template series in the state of Michigan. With a $6,000 champion’s purse, a $10 bonus for each lap led and 75-laps of door to door racing, the Budweiser Super Late Models will definitely be a series to watch in 2013. The roster of the division is a virtual who’s-who of short track racing legends and up-and-coming stars. Terry VanHaitsma will look to defend his crown from the likes of Brian Campbell, Johnny VanDoorn, Tom Thomas, Chris Anthony, Ross Meeuwsen, Tim DeVos and many others. The Budweiser Super Late Models will take to the track for the first time in the 2013 season on Saturday, April 27.

It was announced earlier this season that Budweiser would be returning to Berlin Raceway as a major sponsor. In addition to Budweiser and Bud Light, Berlin Raceway is planning on expanding their selections at the track with additional brands such as Bud Light Platinum, Michelob Ultra, Bud Light Lime, Lime-A-Rita, Straw-Ber-Rita along with a selection of craft beers such as New Belgium’s Fat Tire, Shocktop and a variety of craft beers from local brewing company Perrin Brewing starting with their popular Golden Ale.

Budweiser came on board as a sponsor and distributor at Berlin Raceway the first year that beer was sold at the race track and they are continuing to be a part of the race track in 2013. Berlin will carry both draft and canned and there are also a few special promotions planned for the race fans this season, including $1 beer nights once a month and happy hour specials every race night!

Berlin Raceway’s 63rd year of operation will begin on Saturday, April 20 for the 2nd Annual Icebreaker featuring the Outlaw Late Models, Super Stocks, Modifieds, Sportsman and VROA.
