Berlin Raceway announces mid-season schedule changes

Marne, MI -- There has been a number of changes to the 2013 Berlin Raceway schedule since its release in late 2012 due to rainouts and special guest appearances. The first half of the season had already weathered many changes trying to reschedule all of the rained out events from the spring and that has had an effect on the remaining season.

Heading into the summer season, the first change that has been made to the schedule is to this weekend, June 29. Due to the rained shortened event on June 1, the Super Late Models are scheduled for double features this Saturday. Those who had scratched as of lap 19 on the June 1 event will not be able to restart the continuation of the feature; however, they will be able to participate in the second feature. As a reminder: it was previously announced that tickets and pit passes from June 1 would be honored on June 8 only therefore are no longer valid.

Saturday, July 13 reflects the next change. Ladies Night was originally set up to admit all ladies for $5, but that price was recently adjusted and now all ladies will receive free admission all night long. There will also be special promotions and giveaways for ladies including a $1,000.00-value vacuum cleaner courtesy of Gall Sewing and Vac.

It was announced just two weeks ago that cast members from the hit cable TV show Duck Dynasty will be making an appearance at Berlin Raceway on August 3, a night that has had many changes made to it already. The CRA Super Series event that was rained out on May 11 will be run that night. Presale tickets for this event will be $25 for adults 18+. That price will go up to $30 on the day of the event. Students 12-17 will be $15, kids 8-11 will be $5 and children 7 and under get in for free. The $1 beer and $1 hot dog night that was slated for August 3 has also been moved to August 10. Tickets are selling very fast for this event and it is encouraged that those who plan on attending get their tickets in advance.

On August 10, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will be in town, as will a TV production crew! The ARCA Racing Series 200 will be filmed and shown on NBC Sports. This night will also feature $1 beer and $1 hot dogs and a special on tickets is being offered at $20 for adults 18+. This is definitely a night race fans will not want to miss!

The Chet Championship Weekend will feature $1 beer and $1 hot dogs not only on Friday, August 30, but it will also be included on Saturday, August 31. A 2-day ticket is now available for that weekend; $20 for adults 18+, $12 for students 12+17, $10 for kids 8-11 and children 7 and under get in for free. Point battles have been close in every division all season long and it will be exciting to see all of the champions celebrating their seasons.
