Increasing Car Count for CRA/Rowdy 251 at Berlin Raceway May Lead to 2nd Super Late Model Feature
2013 Rowdy 251 Guaranteed Starting Spot also on the Line
Berlin Raceway and CRA officials announced today the intention to run a 2nd feature for cars that did not qualify for the Rowdy 251 at the June 19 event. If 50 cars are present and complete qualifying runs for the possible $15,000+ to win Rowdy 251, Berlin Raceway run will run a 2nd feature paying a minimum of $1200 to win, winner’s trophy and recognition, and a guaranteed start as an additional starter for the 2013 Rowdy 251.
Berlin Raceway co-manager Mike Bursley commented, “Based on the 45 cars we had at the CRA race in May, we very likely could have 50+ cars. When we added the 2nd feature in May it was very well received and allowed everyone to race and earn some additional money that they wouldn’t have otherwise had. It worked so well that we wanted to do it again for the Rowdy and pay even more. There are over 40 cars entered already, so getting to 50 is something that is very likely, and the 2nd feature makes it possible for everyone to race and be a part of this great night!”
The top Super Late Model drivers in the country will be battling iconic names like NASCAR Star Kyle Busch and Xtreme Sports Star Travis Pastrana in what has become one of the summer’s top events.
